The Little Homies Doin Good

My little brother Jake was in the Valentines Day Massacre Contest at the Skatepark of Tampa a week or two ago and placed 5th in the intermediate division. Im pretty stoked because I know how nervous contests make him, plus he actually got a few photos taken during his jam so thats dope. I never get to see him skate but people are always tellin me how good he's been getting. My other homie Josiah got 7th in the sponsored division too!

i went snowboarding for the first time a few weeks ago and i've been HOOKED ever since. i figured since the season is ending soon, now would be a good time to start lookin at getting my own equipment for next season. so i hop on craigslist.org and see this beauty on sale. brand new, it was the wrong size so the kid had to sell it. this is the K2 Believer, retails for $449, voted by Transworld as the best snowboard for 2009. i got it for $180!! what a deal! craigslist FTW!!!

i went grocery shopping yesterday and DAMN the recession must have hit the supermarkets as well! check out some of these prices!

i dont know why but ive always loved the bootleg knockoff brand poptarts. especially the un-frosted ones, which is weird because 90% of my diet is sugar and cookies. i'll give you the official review on these guys later this week

new cat

i got a new cat on friday. hes pretty dope. all he does is sleep most the time, but when he's awake...he does NOT stop running around. its like he is unleashing all the energy he built up sleeping at once haha. its cool though

Mt. Crescent

So I checked out Mt. Crescent on thursday and it was tight. as you can see its almost flat haha. i spent probably an hour on that run just goin fast as hell and hittin the small jumps. then i took it to the boxes and bigger jumps on the other side. and ate shit repeatedly hahahah. ill be back next thursday for sure though

oh word?

$25 at Mt Crescent covers my ski lift pass, and snowboard, boot, and binding rental. WHAT? this place is only 15 minutes away! you cant top that. yeah i know where I'll be every thursday until the season ends. if youre in the area hit me up cuz Im down to do film/photo in the snow too j-j-jeeeahhhhh! haha

new sammy

i went to colorado on a snowboarding trip last weekend (dont worry i got pics for you in a lil while) and on the way back we stopped at a country ass subway. but they had this new sandwich, the beef barbacoa. i hadnt even seen this thing in the major city subways yet so naturally i had to go for it.

dont bother. it tastes like any random taco bell menu item...on bread. it would probably be decent if it didnt have so many beans in it.

other interesting facts:
-there was this super old guy across from me. i mean he had to be pushin 80, but he totally destroyed a 12" chicken bacon ranch sandwich before i was even halfway done with mine
-couldnt tell if the person making my sandwich was a boy or girl
-this kid came in the store high as hell...wearing a D.A.R.E. shirt hahaha
